Kwandwo Asamoah scores a brilliant goal after cutting inside and a bit of skill taking three players out

Juventus took on Fiorentina in the Serie A as they looked to extend their lead at the top of the Serie A with 2nd and 3rd place Roma & Napoli facing off later.

The defending Serie A champions looked the better side in the first half but the game was tighter as it proceeded into the second. Both sides shared near 50-50 possession and the home side had just 2 shots more than their opponents. The problem for Fiorentina was that none of their 11 shots were on target.

But in a tight game like this, just a goal usually separates the two sides. Kwandwo Asamoah had the most shots on goal, with the wing-back making 5 attempts in total. It was he who broke the deadlock, right at the stroke of half-time changing both managers’ second half tactics.

The goal was a beautiful effort, after he cut inside, performed a drag back and took 3 Fiorentina players out of it, before finishing it off at the far post. It puts Juventus in a comfortable position to retain their crown, and thus win their third consecutive one.
