Max Kruse scores an incredibly calm and composed goal against Dortmund for Gladbach

Borussia Dortmund have been having a poor season by their standards, despite being in the higher reaches of the Bundesliga they are a miles behind leaders Bayern Munich (both numerically and performance-wise).

They took on Borussia Monchengladbach, who themselves have been in a poor run of form in the second half of the season, despite a solid start. The two went head-to-head at the Signal Iduna Park with Klopp’s men the favourites to emerge comfortable victors. But a goal from Raffael found them 1-0 behind at the half-an-hour mark and 5 minutes before the end of the first half Max Kruse doubled the advantage. Dortmund came back into it once Gladbach were reduced to 10 men but the game finished in a memorable 2-1 victory for the away side.

The goal from the 25-year-old was a thing of beauty. Immense calmness and composure went in by the German lad. This goal, though not overly spectacular, is incredibly pleasing to the eyes.
