Jurgen Klinsmann announced the final 23 man United States’ World Cup squad for the tournament in Brazil. The glaring omission, was of a certain Landon Donovan. The LA Galaxy star is the all-time leading goal-scorer for the Americans, the all-time leading World Cup goal-scorer and caps, and second in terms of overall appearances for the national team. The decision has left many in shock, as to how someone of Donovan’s experience doesn’t get picked for the squad.
Another experienced head, Maurice Edu, who was looking at closing in on half-a-century of caps, has also been left out.
Three players who are the focus of #TalentRadar – John Anthon Brooks, DeAndre Yedlin & Julian Green have all made the final squad.
