Pepsi Max release first short film Beats of the Beautiful game

Pepsi Max have released the first of their short films under the “Beats of the Beautiful game” feature. The feature is an exclusive collection of 11 anthemic songs and companion short films that capture the international spirit, sights and sounds of the world’s most popular game. The video below is the short-film directorial debut of Idris Elba, titled “Unstoppable” with music from Dutch producer, R3HAB and lyrics from Eva Simons.

Idris Elba, who has a highly decorated career, said this about his first ever short film: “Football is uniting – it’s about the fans and it’s about the players. Everybody loves sports, everybody loves competition, but when your country is playing against another country it’s that one time that everyone sits in the stands and is unified. It definitely brings people together.”

The video has a 70s theme to it and has the typical bully vs nerd storyline, before the nerd emerges victorious and gets the girl (with a twist at the end). There’s a nice blend of electro mix and freestyle football on show, staying true to the “Beats of the Beautiful game” theme.
