Among all the frenzy of the World Cup, one of the greatest footballers of the 21st century to grace the field has shifted clubs as he looks to enter the last part of his illustrious career. After a Ballon D’Or, Champions League and league titles to his name (among many others), Kaka has decided to take his career to the US, joining the MLS.
But if the Brazilian thought he could sit back and relax in the latter stages of his footballing career, he’s in for a treat. Kaka left his second stint with AC Milan to join newly formed franchise, Orlando City. The team will start it’s MLS journey next year, with Kaka returning to his first club, Sao Paulo, on loan until then. The star player was unveiled in the streets of Orlando and the welcome he received was quite something. Thousands gathered to see their future player wearing the colours of the new team. Kaka will be the third Ballon D’Or winner to play in the MLS after Lotthar Matthaus & Hristo Stoichkov.
