VIDEO: Chiellini again calls for Luis Suarez ban to be reduced

One of the most infamous events at the World Cup came in the crucial last group game between Uruguay & Italy. At the time, the South Americans required one goal to go through, while a draw was enough for the 2006 World champions. Luis Suarez didn’t get a goal, but for a third time he bit a fellow professional footballer.

The events that followed have been long discussed over the past few weeks, with Suarez’ lengthy ban brought into question by various individuals. Most notably, the victim Giorgio Chiellini immediately in the aftermath of the ban being handed out, asked for it to be reduced. The Italian defender is currently on a pre-season tour with Juventus in Indonesia and has once again asked for FIFA to re-think the ban, as he finds it to be too severe.
