As you may have heard, Arsenal emphatically saw off Manchester City with a 3-0 Community Shield victory and secured the first piece of silverware of the season, albeit a meaningless one.
Mathieu Flamini posted a couple of images on Instagram, celebrating the victory, and while the one below seemed like just another celebratory picture, a look at the captions showed some nice little banter from the Frenchman. The midfielder tagged ex-teammate and fellow Arsenal player, Cesc Fabregas, who ofcourse joined London rivals Chelsea. Although it is all a bit friendly, Flamini is already stoking it into the Spaniard that Arsenal have won their second piece of silverware in 2014 while Fabregas ends up with nothing.
Ofcourse more such jokes will flow throughout the season, but this was some good early Arsenal-Chelsea banter from Flamini.
Do notice the individual who hasn’t quite grasped ‘sense of humour’ as yet in the comments section of the image.
