Crystal Palace: A club to look out for next season

Every follower of the Premiership demands great, smart and outstanding performances from their favorite players, so there is no wonder why the Eagles, who finished in a more than respectable 10th position this last season after some years of struggle, deserve to be in the League of Leagues and is one of the most loved teams. Their particular elegant style is a classic and, despite being one of the clubs with the longest run, they are no old stuff.

As neutrals it was easy to get behind last season’s Palace side. With a vociferous home crowd backing the players, Alan Pardew’s men play with speed especially on the wings often relying on the pace and trickery of wingers such as Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha. The wingers provide great outlets for the counter attack thus ensuring that Palace can focus on drawing the opposition in and then hitting them on the break. Glenn Murray’s form towards the end of the season was another positive for the London side.

Moreover, if rumor indeed has it, you can bet that next season will be even more exciting. Palace’s style means that they need a solid defence and the personnel to soak up the pressure. Apart from Brede Hangeland staying and Scott Dann, awarded Crystal Palace’s Player of the Year for the season 2014/15, very much likely to follow his steps, articles on Yohan Cabaye’s possible transfer from PSG to Palace have been pouring out non-stop. We are talking about an experienced midfielder who has not been enjoying much play time lately and would like to reunite with his former coach. In addition, Pardew is doing a great job, making it clear that the Eagles won’t let their best players just be taken out of their eyrie without putting up a fight, so you can be sure that Crystal Palace tickets for next season, set to start next August, will be in high demand as no one would dare to miss their forever amazing team play.

So, if you are one of those people who likes “oldies but goldies” clubs and longs for the good old days, where the only thing really at stake was to put on the best football show for the public, you will definitely have to keep an eye on England’s most famous eagles. Whether they finally get hold of Cabaye or end up selling Scott Dann, you should anyway take into account that they have such a long run not just out of sheer luck or coincidence.
