Barcelona in search of Pedro’s replacement

The best team of last season Barcelona won Treble and sold Pedro Rodriguez to Chelsea. At the moment, the team is looking for replacement of the player, who has become one of the most titled Spain performers in the squad of the Catalans.

Pedro Rodriguez was born in the Canary Islands and joined Barcelona, when he was 17. He went on to win five La Liga and three Champions League’ titles with the club. However, Pedro lost his place in the starting eleven in recent times, with Luis Enrique in charge counting on an attacking line consisting of Messi, Neymar and Suarez. Rodriguez wasn’t able to force one of them out of first eleven, though, he desired to participate in games regularly.

Consequently, Catalonian club showed understanding and let him move to the Champions of England. British experts, specializing in football predictions, had doubts concerning Pedro’s move, however, he showed his quality in the very first match. Rodriguez scored a goal in the away clash against West Bromwich and made an assist helping Chelsea to achieve a tough 3-2 win.

Barcelona signed Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan this summer, they will have a possibility to play for the club in January. Each of them is able to perform on wing, however, Luis Enrique is open to involving them in other positions according to the Spanish media. The Catalonian team is looking for a winger, a search which may be fulfilled in the transfer market in winter.

Different sources report about interest to Carlos Vela from Real Sociedad, Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kiev and other players. Even though, bookmakers and experts in sports picks consider former Barcelona player Nolito as the most probable option for the team. From 2008 till 2011, the winger was at the club, however he was limited to only second squad’s matches. The player recorded five games and one goal in his spell at the club.

After leaving the Catalans, Nolito has turned out for Benfica, Granada and Celta and has been called up to the national team. According to points of experts of sports analytics services, such as Bet4Rate, Nolito is Celta’s leader and deserves a second chance to show himself in the main team of Catalonia. The winger recorded 76 clashes, 29 goals and 17 assists for the Celtics.

Reliable source transfermarkt.com evaluates the player AT €10m. However, Nolito’ contract expires in 2019, which is why Celta might receive solid fee for the footballer. It may happen that the sides will come to agreement earlier than the January transfer window, but Nolito will spend first half of the season in Celta. However, in football anything can change at any moment.
