Best Young Goalkeeper 2017-18: Thomas Strakosha

For the fifth season running, the Talent Radar Awards recognise the best individuals across Europe’s top leagues across seven primary categories.

[Eligibility: As of 1st June 2017 – 21 years old and below for outfield players // 22 years old and below for goalkeepers]

Lazio had a terrific season, despite the fact that they failed to make it to the Champions League in the last few minutes of the Serie A season. Strakosha was called into action more times than he would’ve liked this season, with Simone Inzaghi taking off the handbrakes and turning Lazio into the top scorers in Italy. Strakosha’s work at the back took the team forward. His shot stopping ability made him our best young keeper of the season.
