FAQs: 100 Best Young Players to Watch in 2015

This post serves as guide to all your queries, confusion and anger with our list of 100 Best Young Players to Watch in 2015. We have specified the eligibility criteria, basis of evaluation, ranking system and any other doubts you may have as to why a certain player made it and/or another didn’t.

What is the age criteria? This is a list of the best young players, 20 and under, so only those players born on or after 1/1/1994 are eligible for inclusion.

How many leagues have been covered? We have looked at players from all corners on the World, but the final list contains players from 21 different top division leagues spread across 6 continents.

Wait, top division only? Yes, there has to be some form of standardisation because of which we haven’t included any player who is currently playing for a second division club and/or is likely to continue for the calendar year 2015.

On what basis have the players been evaluated and ranked? There’s no scientific basis for evaluating, so this is based on our humble opinion (after taking into consideration all factors involved such as their exploits in 2014, which also gives a suggestion of what impact they could make in 2015)

How is the list divided? The entire list of 100 young players has been divided positionally into 5 Goalkeepers, 30 Defenders, 35 Midfielders and 30 Forwards. The complete list will be published in 10 different parts.

When will the list(s) be published? The first part will be published on December 8th with the last on December 25th.

What if I don’t agree with your list? We suggest taking a deep breath, calming yourself, and then getting in touch with us via the contact page above or on social media and we’d be happy to ruthlessly defend our opinion discuss the why, why not and what the…
