With Chelsea being one of the biggest clubs on the planet, they understandably had a lot of representatives at the World Cup. Though an English club, their highest contingent for the tournament came from Brazil with four representatives. The sole German representative was André Schürrle, who as we know returns with a World Cup winners’ medal.
All five of those Chelsea players made an appearance in the memorable 7-1 game between the eventual winners Germany and hosts Brazil. Ryan Bertrand, who joined Southampton on loan a few days back, shared an image on Instagram which he found depicting André Schürrle as Jordan Belfort (the role played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie The Wolf of Wall Street).
Goes without saying that André Schürrle now has the authority to a bit of “bantz” in the Chelsea dressing room.
