Adidas have been running an interesting series of videos which allow supporters to see footballers much more closely (you know, beyond tweets). The Game Day Plus series interviews some of Adidas’ most high profile clients in the footballing world, with some good insight into their thoughts and character.
Steven Gerrard was one such interviewee, chatting on the golf course as he spoke about his Champions League experience and their difficult group stage opponents in Real Madrid. The Liverpool captain opened up about his relationship with Xabi Alonso, and mentioned some of Real’s world-class squad members.
Interestingly, there was no mention of Cristiano Ronaldo owing to the fact he’s a Nike client. So Gerrard completely opened up within copyright rules (modern day eh?). Good interview nevertheless.
