Viral: The internet reacts to Messi’s 5th Ballon d’Or

Viral BlogLionel Messi took home the Ballon d’Or for a record fifth time. While winning the Ballon d’Or is an insanely commendable feat by itself, the Argentine forward’s repeated domination of this title has reached a point where football fans aren’t that surprised any more.

Even before the results were out, many had their money on the Barcelona man to take home the prize; so much so that the internet was more than well prepared for it. Boredom may have struck the average football fan who knew the outcome and as a result, an endless stream of questionable humour is what the internet faced when the poll results were announced. Football Daily brings you the best of the reactions from across the internet.
