A North London derby is always special. A good open game but a tight/edgy affair. Always difficult to call but you’re assured of entertainment.
The most recent North London derby was no different. Arsenal came into the game 6 points ahead of their rivals Spurs but with both clubs chasing two opposing goals. For the home side, Spurs, it was all about getting into the Champions League, while for Wenger’s men it was all about the title.
Thus, as any derby, it would be something special to change the result. Luckily for viewers, this ‘special’ moment came just 72 seconds into the game. Tomas Rosicky scored right at the start, a goal which proved to be the only of the game, a goal which any derby would be proud of.
The technique, the strike, the flight, everything about that shot is just so sweet. Take a bow Rosicky, take a bow. A worthy way of winning the North London Derby.
