Shakira’s 2010 World Cup anthem, Waka Waka, is still sung with pride among many football supporters across the globe. The Latin sensation has now come up with a new 2014 World Cup anthem, called La La La that doesn’t quite capture the moment the way Waka Waka did, but certainly is a decent effort at it.
The video for this song features some of football’s biggest stars, some of whom will be playing at the big summer spectacle in Brazil. Argentine duo, Lionel Messi & Sergio Aguero; Shakira’s Spanish husband, Gerard Pique & team-mate Cesc Fabregas; Radamel Falcao & James Rodriguez who represent Shakira’s own country of Colombia, Brazil’s Neymar and France’s retired full-back, Eric Abidal all feature in the video, with minor roles.
Interesting to note that Pique & Shakira’s son, Milan, also makes a small cameo appearance. The video tries to focus on the diversity that will be on display at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
