Daniel Sturridge congratulates Carl Froch on 8th round knockout victory

Daniel Sturridge is arguably the most active footballer on Instagram; he certainly takes the title in the England camp. The Liverpool striker seemed to have taken time out from his World Cup training to focus on one of the biggest boxing matches of the year, one which the whole of England was glued into.

36-yr-old Carl Froch defeated George Grooves, 10 years younger than him, in an intriguing rivalry with the more experienced head taking the victory and retaining his IBF and WBA super middleweight titles. More than 80,000 people witnessed the action at Wembley.

Sturridge took to Instagram to congratulate the man known as “Cobra”, after his 8th round knockout victory.

Earlier he had posted another video, displaying his excitement & anticipation for the bout with a bit of drama attached to it.
