Leverkusen’s Omer Toprak congratulates Emre Can on Liverpool move “You will rock Anfield!”

Earlier today, Liverpool confirmed their second signing of the season, announcing that they had agreed a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s 20-yr-old Emre Can after having already signed Rickie Lambert. The versatile German is an exciting prospect for an improving side under Brendan Rodgers with big hopes for next season, and added expectations.

Emre Can, although playing his professional international football for Germany, has Turkish origins. He had a good relationship with fellow Turk, Omer Toprak. The defender took to instagram to congratulate the youngster on his big move, including a special message.

“@ec36 yolun acik olsun aslanim benim! U will rock anfield” the message read. Not quite sure what the first part translates to, but clearly Toprak believes Can can have a positive influence at Anfield.
