Of all the players that could have scored a winner against England for the British media to write their headlines, it had to be Mario Balotelli. The ex-Man City star turned in a cross at the far post from Candreva, minutes after half-time as Italy went on to hold the lead seeing out an important victory. While Balotelli did score the all important goal, he did little else, so it seems a bit surprising that he’s been named Man of the Match ahead of some of the other Italians who had particularly good games. Nevertheless, a good start for the AC Milan striker.
“Forza azzurri ! Continuimo così! Man of the match today so happy!A big Thanks to my team mates! Come on guys!”
