Talent Radar: Thorgan Hazard joins Borussia Monchengladbach on loan

MID_Hazard‘The other Hazard’ is quickly stepping out of his brother’s shadow and making a name for himself. Thorgan, like Eden, is of course contracted to Chelsea and spent the entirety of last season on loan to Zulte-Waregem. His impressive performances have made people sit up and notice including us as we track football’s brightest talent in our Talent Radar feature.

In fact, Hazard featured in our 100 Best Young Players to Watch Out for in 2014. There was allegedly a number of clubs reportedly trying to secure the services of the youngster on loan and it turns out that Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach has won the race.

The Bundesliga has becoming a breeding ground for young talent, both German and otherwise, and it’s a move that should benefit all parties involved. Hazard is an exciting talent and the Bundesliga represents a step up for him which should help him improve as a player.

Chelsea who confirmed the deal on their site here, have continued their  policy of signing young talent and loaning them out to further their development. In Hazard, they certainly have a player who could well be worth the investment.

Talent Radar will continue to track his progress as he establishes himself as a first-team regular. Pictures below via @ThorganHazard8 and @ThorganHFans
