James Rodriguez celebrating winning the Golden Boot

One of the stories of the World Cup has been James Rodriguez, whose performances impressed viewers and attracted admirers. Though he didn’t win the Golden Ball as many expected, he did his reputation no harm with his display.

Although Colombia were knocked out in the quarters, James Rodriguez was closely watching the World Cup final between Germany & Argentina as both Thomas Müller & Lionel Messi had a chance to claim the Golden Boot award. James Rodriguez led with 6 goals and as both those aforementioned players failed to score, it meant that the 22-yr-old would finish as the top scorer in the competition. Quite an achievement at such a young age from a midfielder.

This video below captured the last few moments of James Rodriguez watching the final and eventually securing the Golden Boot.
