Luis Suarez’ absurd ban from all footballing activity was altered earlier this week. While the original 4 month ban from playing remains (and rightly so), he is now allowed to train with the club and make public appearances while also playing in friendly games.
After completing his club record move from Liverpool, Suarez was yet to be unveiled or show himself in Barca colours to the supporters. The ban ofcourse came after his third biting incident. But after the clearance from the Court of Arbitration for Sport was given, Suarez has made his first public appearance in his new clubs colours (not quite ‘those’ colours though).
He, alongwith all of Barcelona’s other new signings – Thomas Vermealen, Claudio Bravo, Jordi Masip (loan return), Rafinha Alcantara (loan return), Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suarez, Jeremy Mathieu, & Marc-Andre ter Stegen – all made a public appearance at the XXXV Congreso Mundial de Peñas (35th World Congress of Clubs).
A long awaited glimpse, finally.
