VIDEO: Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott and Rickie Lambert pay tribute to Southampton’s academy

It’s widely acknowledged that Southampton’s famed academy is arguably the best in England, with some top level footballers to have come through from there. In a new video published on the club’s official YouTube account, to commemorate the launch of a brand new training facility, star players to have come through from the academy and ex-players with the senior team have given their views on the club.

The likes of Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott and Rickie Lambert, all of whom have gone on to bigger moves and success at the highest level (some more than others) share their thoughts on the club, it’s strategy, development of individuals and the role it has played in their careers.
