Juventus’ recent dominance in the Serie A is showing no signs of letting up this season as they head into the final stage with a 9 point lead over challengers AS Roma. Given the talent in the side, only a brave man would bet against the 3-time reigning Champions. Despite the Bianconeri following the same script as the last few years, Massimiliano Allegri has certainly stamped his own style on the team.
Juventus have finally ventured from their tried and tested 3 at the back formation. This has led to more tactical variety in their set-up and has seen an improvement in Europe as well with their round of 16 tie against Dortmund delicately poised after the first leg. The Italian Champions are used to playing against teams that drop deep against them. However, they are particularly proficient at creating space for the full-backs while building up attacks and in general stretching the opposition midfield. Krzysztof Sierocki provided us with a video analysis depicting this by using the game against Inter as an example.
