The MLS is under way, with this past weekend displaying the first round of matches. With two new teams, a number of designated players brought in, the likes of Kaka and David Villa gracing the grasses of stadiums in the United States, it is quite obvious that ‘soccer’ is on the rise in a country that is relatively new to the sport.
The MLS is different from the league format that majority of the world uses. Much like most of their affairs across various subjects, the USA choose to do things their own way, having a duo-league system, followed by a play off with two trophies to be one along that road.
