The lesser of the two transfer windows, the January window’s importance is often understated. Although the big spending is usually focused on the summer window, January sees it’s fair share of transfers. The transfers may not necessarily be that of the highest profile players with the added constraint of players being cup tied but the January window does offer opportunities to clubs and their managers.
