End of Season Awards

2016-17 Bundesliga End of Season Awards

For the fourth successive year, Outside of the Boot recognises the individuals who stood above & beyond the rest in their respective leagues. With Europe’s top five leagues the focus of our End of Season Awards, we pick out the best players across their respective positions, the best manager, the exceptional Talent Radar young player, and ofcourse the sole man standing above the rest.

RB Leipzig were the surprise package, getting promoted to the Bundesliga and challenging for the title before settling for a Champions League spot. Eventually Bayern Munich’s domination prevailed as Carlo Ancelotti secured the title in his debut season. Borussia Dortmund disappointed but the likes of Hoffenheim and Hertha Berlin were welcome competition at the top of the table.
