As some of you who have been following us for sometime may know that we have a special #TalentRadar feature on our site which focuses on the younger players of World football (21 and below at the start of the season, to be precise, is what constitutes as ‘young’ under this feature.
We wanted to give a fitting end to the club campaign, before we move into the World Cup, and what better way to do that than to recognise the young players who have impressed us this past season. It is keeping that in mind that we have created the first ever #TalentRadar Young Player Awards, arguably the first of its kind.
Talent Radar Awards // 2014-15 // 2015-16
There are 15 different award categories divided into 13 individual awards and 2 team awards. Of the total 15 awards, 6 have been decided as a result of voting done by our loyal readers. Note that each player included in these awards are only first division first team players covering seven leagues across Europe.

- Januzaj was the only good thing to come through from United this season, but he was nearly beaten to the award by Stuttgart’s Timo Werner

- Helping Atletico Madrid to an unbelievable season both domestically & in Europe, the young Belgian has rightly been recognised for his exploits. He got a remarkable 85% of the votes. Next closest was Genoa’s Perin who had 8% of the votes.

- It was a close battle between Carvajal & Shaw, but the Real man was the outright winner in terms of votes

- Paul Pogba has again played a crucial role in Juve’s season, helping them to a third successive Scudetto, deployed in a three-man-midfield. Pogba got 46% of the votes, Atletico’s Koke was next with 33%

- The man on loan from Chelsea has done remarkably well with Everton, in a hugely successful season for the club as they just missed out on the Champions League. He got 34% of the votes, beating Neymar who had 20%.

- Helping Atletico Madrid to an unbelievable season both domestically & in Europe, the young Belgian has rightly been recognised for his exploits. His closest challenger was Juve’s Paul Pogba in this category

- With an exceptional season at Wolfsburg which has seen him receive plaudits from all across, Rodriguez is a deserve winner of not only this award but also emerging as the best left-back with the likes of Alaba, Moreno, Bernat, Shaw & Kolasinac to consider

- It was hard to choose between Koke & Firmino, but ultimately the Atletico man deserved this, for the fantastic season he has had

- Drmic is an epitome of a proper striker. Scoring plenty of goals in an ultimately disappointing season for Nurnberg, Drmic vowed viewers with his clinical ability at such a young age

- And the winner is….Fully deserved for the man who has been the pivotal factor in Atletico’s hugely successful season. Showing immense maturity, intelligence and putting in absolutely incredible shifts week in and week out
