FIFA’s anti-discrimination chief Jeffrey Webb says world football’s governing body and the Local Organising Committee should have done “much better” in preventing racist and homophobic chants at the World Cup. These comments come in the wake of reports of racist chanting by Mexican supporters. Webb stated that individuals with the pure intention of entering the stadium for these reasons should be prevented, even citing responsibility & accountability as key factors.
