In Addidas’ GameDayPlus episode, we visit multiple stars and have them share a few thoughts about different subjects.
First, a disclaimer that the video is a few days old, so pardon us about the bit regarding Ozil and his thoughts on the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg match against Monaco that happened last night. Back to the video: Ozil is given the mic to talk about his mindset and thoughts regarding the Champions League, a platform he feels it is very much necessary for him to be on to prove to myself amongst many others that he truly is a top player and one of the best out there.
The second segment focuses on Penalty Preparation. With the Round of 16 almost over and the knock out stages of the Champions League to continue, it’s quite likely to see a penalty shoot out in the near future. Addidas have got on board to special superstars to give their thoughts on how they face the challenge of penalties under the searing pressure of the millions watching. Steven Gerrard, Liverpool’s go-to penalty man for a good part of the past decade and penalty taker in 2005’s final in Istanbul talks about his approach while World Cup winner and Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, throws in his two cents worth of how he goes about the deed.
The third segment walks us through Addidas’ new F50s, not just any F50s, but Barcelona and Argentine icon, Leo Messi’s F50s. The F50s display a completely new design, custom made, that incorporates elements from Messi’s childhood days, inducing a personal touch for player that has mesmerised oppositions and fans with his magical touches.
The Skill Twins are back to complete the video with a fancy new trick that they teach you. They make it look rather easy, but considering you minimally talented you and I are, let’s not even think about trying it out in a real game.
Enough of yapping for us. Have a look at the video:
