Continuing their feature covering the biggest away days in Europe, the Copa 90 team made their way across from Rome to Madrid to catch the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie. AS Roma had it all to do as their faithful made the trip to the Santiago Bernabeu in the hopes of overcoming a 2 goal deficit from the first leg.
A short introduction serves well to capture the passion for the club the Romans have with fleeting glimpses into Rome’s storied past complete with the obligatory backdrop of the Colosseum for parts of the video. Ultimately, Copa 90’s journey was as unsatisfactory as that of the away fans having failed to secure seats in the away section. The passion of the Roma fans was still captured although that wasn’t enough for the away side to secure what would have been an unlikely victory.
The Italian side did eventually get knocked out by the 10 time European champions, but the capital club have revived themselves under returning boss Luciano Spaletti.
