Leonardo Jardim appointed AS Monaco manager

AS Monaco have appointed Leonardo Jardim as their new boss, taking over from Claudio Ranieri. Leonardo Jardim had a successful season with Sporting Club de Portugal, taking them from 7th to 2nd in just one season. Claudio Ranieir though will be disappointed having lost his job, the Italian got Monaco promoted into the first division and immediately took them to a runners-up spot in the French Ligue 1.

Jardim will now take AS Monaco into the Champions League, returning to the competition after a lengthy absence. They will also look to make ground on PSG who have been dominating the French first division.
