Cafu wishes Steven Gerrard ahead of England’s game with Uruguay

Brazil’s 2002 World Cup winning captain, Cafu, has become popular among supporters of Merseyside club, Liverpool. This rise in popularity has taken place as a result of the comparisons made between Cafu and Liverpool’s young right-back, Jon Flanagan. The latter has been nicknamed “Scouse Cafu” as his performances impressed many in the 2013-14 season. Ahead of Liverpool’s last game of the season, Cafu visited Anfield to meet the Scouse Cafu and the rest of the Liverpool side.

The Brazilian has now wished Steven Gerrard on Twitter, ahead of his important game for England against Uruguay.
