Gareth Bale leaves two tickets in the streets of Cardiff for anyone to pick-up

Gareth Bale was given a heroes’ welcome as he landed in Cardiff, Wales for the UEFA Super Cup game with his Real Madrid side. The ex-Tottenham man who helped the Spanish giants to a Champions League and Copa Del Rey victory, is undoubtedly one of the best and most popular footballers of all time, from the country.

As his Real side take on Europa League winners Sevilla at the Cardiff City Stadium, Gareth Bales gave two individuals the incredible chance of “winning” tickets to the game. As posted on his instagram, he was given two tickets to giveaway by Adidas and used the simplest of techniqus. He left the tickets in the middle of Cardiff at Aneurin Bevan’s statue (an ex-politician who fought for social justice), and posted a picture saying whoever gets their hands on it first wins it.

Not only was that a great gesture but also excellent marketing from/for Adidas. Two young boys ultimately claimed the tickets.

Check out his series of posts showing the unfurling of events.

“The UEFA Super Cup is coming to Cardiff!! @adidasukhas given me a pair of tickets for the game to give away. The first person to the location will win these tickets. Stay tuned on here to find out where they will be! #F50″

“I’ve left the tickets here… The first person to get there will win them and will be going to the game. Good luck!! #f50 #halamadrid”

“Congratulations @nachogarcia8 & @diego_garbla for being the fastest people to the tickets. I hope you enjoy the game!! #f50 #halamadrid”
